Nicole + Alex | Arrowhead Lodge

My sister Nicole got married in her favorite month, October. I was the maid of honor in this wedding AND we photographed it. Corey was with Alex and his groomsmen at our house making breakfast and getting ready, while I was with Nicole and her bridesmaids at our parents home getting ready. It rained the whole morning of and we were positive the sun was not going to come out so we got Nicole and Alex’s rain boots and umbrellas ready so we could do some outdoor photos. The sunshine surprised us and it turned out to be a gorgeous fall day.

Nicole & Alex did a first look at their venue, Arrowhead Lodge in Brewerton, NY. Alex stood in the woods while he waited for Nicole to come over and tap him on the shoulder. This first look was especially emotional for us. I hid behind my camera as the tears filled my eyes while I watched my sister see the man she loves for the first time on the biggest day of their lives. We are so thankful that they asked us to capture this day and that we were able to make it work.

We love this venue for many reasons, but look at this forest! Imagine practicing your first dance here. This was a DIY wedding and Nicole & Alex did a BEAUTIFUL job. We are so proud of them for the way they put this day together. Congratulations and welcome to the family, Alex!
